In order to provide professional support to a wide range of clients, I am always looking into Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses. I also attend various trans-related conferences around the country, so funding towards travel would be greatly appreciated.
Queer, non-binary trans and disabled, Sam Hope works part time as a counsellor/trainer and devotes a lot of their time to activism and community work on & offline. They were one of the founder members of Notts Trans Hub [https://nottstranshub.wordpress.com] and have been running the Facebook page Trans Inclusive Feminism (social media links below) for many years. They have written for The Queerness, Beyond the Binary & their own blog A Feminist Challenging Transphobia [https://feministchallengingtransphobia.wordpress.com]. Sam’s book Person Centred Counselling for Trans and Gender Diverse People: A Practical Guide was published in 2019. Sam has lived on a low income throughout their life due to fibromyalgia, autism/adhd and cptsd. While many of the resources they have created are given freely, if you’ve gained from their work and feel able to buy them a coffee, they would appreciate it.
