Yang Liu is a paper artist, based in California. She makes botanicals out of crepe paper encouraging her audience to stop and smell the roses. Her work often combines different weights and colours of crepe paper over a wire, cotton or papier-mâché frame to build the beautiful flora that you see. Typically each sculpture takes 15-20+ hours of work. Her sculptures have been featured on VSCO Journal Paper Flowers, Craft Industry Alliance's 11 Paper Artists Inspiring Us on Instagram, Eat Sleep Draw, Creative Boom, Castle in the Air, and SF MOMA Submission Friday.
