Hi, my name is Shandi and welcome to Small Town Canada! I'm a small-town Canadian girl with a love for history and my community. The idea for Small Town Canada came to me when I started looking more into my family’s history and the communities connected to their past. I realized how much I loved learning about it and wanted to expand my understanding of small towns in our incredible country. My plan is to highlight the history of small towns from all over Canada. Many rural regions once thrived by having industry-rich resources and dwindled dramatically in size once they left.
