Rosa Colón Guerra has a BA in Humanities-Fine Arts from the University of Puerto Rico (Río Piedras) and an MA in Sequential Art and Illustration from the University of Brighton and has has been self publishing comics with her friend Carla Rodríguez for over ten years in San Juan, Puerto Rico as Soda Pop Comics.  She’s co-founder of Tintero: Festival de Cómics y Arte Independiente, with Carla Rodríguez. Tintero was celebrated from 2014 to 2017 and once again in 2019. It was created in order to encourage the creation of comics and zines in the Puerto Rican art scene. Rosa has been published in The Nib, The Believer, The Lily and the Eisner winner Puerto Rico Strong Anthology from Lion Forge as well as the Ignatz Winner Be Gay, Do Comics!
