I'm a self-taught photographer/artist and I've been taking photographs since the 80s when I worked for a local community organisation in Edinburgh. My main projects concentrate on typologies and have been influenced by the architectural studies of the Bechers, the darkness of Bill Brandt, and also by the use of colour in the seventies by William Eggleston. My most recent project was Prayers of Steel, a look at the psychogeography of The Angel of the North as described through ‘found’ photographs on social media.
I will be putting short bits of writing on my practice, talks about art history, images, and links to good information onto here for you to enjoy. Anything to help get some of my images printed and mounted for exhibition would be wonderful.
