Hi everyone! We are a team of 4 photographic artists working across analogue photography, moving image, animation, alternative processes, and (unfunded) doctoral research. The Sustainable Darkroom is a new and rapidly growing project that aims to build an artist research community. We explore sustainability in multiple forms: Practice: Replacing the use of materials originating from fossil oil or other toxic substances with renewable sources that don’t compromise quality. Theory: we strive to broaden theoretical engagement by creating spaces to share ideas on a range of subjects. Ethos: To share and build network to enable support and conversation.
