After spending 12 in the nonprofit sector providing direct services, I decided to finally pursue a career as a Software Developer. I aim to bring these "people skills" into the IT sector and expand my computer skills through hands-on experience and virtual learning. Through attending CodeCrew's six month Software Development Boot Camp, gaining numerous certificates via Coursera and edX, I have become proficient in programming languages and data science. I hope to utilize my new career in the technology sector to promote change and to inspire young women and girls from underserved communities to pursue STEM careers. Armed with coffee, donuts, deadpan humor, and a southern drawl, I work to spread my feminist and womanist gospel, inspire and support women and mothers, and advance STEM educational equity, mental health awareness, reproductive justice, and healing throughout the South.
