Welcome to The Poetry Machine! Founder and poet Beth Calverley brings the wellbeing benefits of creativity to poetry-lovers and those who may not expect to enjoy poetry. She collaborates with charities, hospitals, schools, universities, and community-minded companies nationally, helping people to express their thoughts and feelings by co-creating poems. Beth is an established poet and creative coach with a warm, inclusive performance style. The Poetry Machine has featured multiple times on BBC Radio and is a Bristol Life Awards Arts Finalist 2020. In response to the pandemic, Beth is hosting cosy online Poetry Party sessions, to bring family members, friends and co-workers together during this time of social distancing. She asks questions to draw out each person's memories and weaves them into a collective poetry portrait, beautifully speed-crafted on her vintage typewriter.
