Founded in the UAE in 2015 and now based in London, UK, Tse Tse Fly Middle East is an arts and activism non-profit organisation that uses productions, artworks and interventions to highlight human rights and freedom of speech issues. We produce a monthly two-hour radio show of experimental music from the Middle East, Africa and the Indian subcontinent that's broadcast on UK arts station Resonance EXTRA and Moscow-based New New World Radio. We use our live events and productions to build partnerships with civil rights and free speech organisations and charities to highlight their endeavours, and have worked with the likes of Amnesty, FORWARD, English Pen and more. Our work has been deemed as culturally significant by the British Library, and is part of their Sound & Image archive. We are completely self-funded.
