Hi! I am a visual artist and researcher originally from Milan and currently living in Barcelona. My pronouns are They/Them. My artistic practice is concerned with the concept of the body as a location for political resistance as well as with interdisciplinary community art as a tool for personal and social transformation. Following the line of thought of feminist and post structuralist theories I understand the body as a complex system of relations and emotions in continuous evolution and we believe that through individual and collective action people can consider new ways of challenging various forms of oppression. My body of work combines visual arts with a pedagogical approach and questions the role of art in facilitating local actions and broader social change through the activation of dialogues and spaces of co-creation with diverse communities following the lines of feminists, antiracists and antifascists movements. Taking reference from Joseph Beuys´ expanded definition of art, which sees society as an artwork and every-body as an artist, I strongly believe in the transformative power of art and in the idea that each human being has the potential to creatively contribute to social change.
