My 1.5 year old dog Maverick had a grade 2 mast cell tumor removed from his muzzle in October. Without radiation therapy, his survival time is a few months. With insurance, radiation costs about 1k. The closest vet that does radiation is an 8 hour drive from where I live, so I have to stay at a rental for the 23 days he’ll need to be there. Boarding would be just as expensive (3k) so I'd rather stay with him there. 4k is a lot to spend for me right now, so any little bit helps a lot.
