One of my ultimate goals is to create disability art. In order to do this I need to know myself and be able to create visuals for an invisible problem. I think art therapy would help me articulate this better. I have found an art therapy I want to work with
Ysabelle Vautour is an Acadian artist living with sight loss and chronic pain on the Treats of Peace and Friendship. She is the founder of the NB Disability Art Collective and the recipient of the Jane Leblanc Award in Visual Arts as well as several grants from the Arts NB. Ysabelle is a graduate of the Artslink Catapult program. Her artwork as been shown across Canada. She has been featured in Akimbo, Createdhere Magazine, CBC as well in the show 100% Passion documentary series.
