Hand Knitted, Hand Spun and Hand Woven Accessories and Homeware. Lathe turned items in wood for knitting and weaving. A little introduction. We are Woollen Tree - Sue of SWH (sue wright handknits) is a Spinner, Weaver and Hand Knitter designing her own work. I love to use different wools and yarns in my work to produce original pieces of work. I make simple styles to suit many different uses. As a spinner, weaver and hand knitter I enjoy working with all yarn types but take particular pleasure from working with natural pure wools and yarns as they not only look and feel lovely but are practical, functional and hard wearing too. Peter of Wright-Turned Wood Turning -Much of my work is made from "green" wood; therefore over time as it dries out naturally it may distort; this can lead to interesting shapes and adds to its uniqueness. We are a husband and wife team working with natural materials and combining some of our designs to offer you simple items of beauty and rustic charm. Hand Knitted, Hand Woven and Hand Turned Accessories and Homeware. We are thrilled to find this Ko-fi site for makers, creators. It is so good to see the support for creative businesses especially in these times. We sell our work through our online shops and at galleries, exhibitions and I run weaving workshops, but 2020 has obviously meant our craft events are postponed for the time being. Therefore in 2021 we are finding more ways to reach our customers online. We are planning a website and hope that you will pop in here on our page to see what we are making and follow our progress. I must admit here that I'm much more confident and happy sitting at my weaving loom or spinning wheel than at the computer! so it will be a learning curve. We are passionate and love to work with our hands, continuing in the tradition and ancient craft of wood and wool work. We aim to post videos, advice and share our craft with you. We will keep you up to date on goals that you might feel you can support us with over the year by clicking the Ko-fi buy a coffee button. Many thanks to all our customers. Very Best Wishes Sue and Pete Our blog is castonandcastoff.blogspot.co.uk Cast On and Cast Off where you can find links to all we do. Click on the little arrow here to go to our you tube channel
