hello! I (Mary, she/her) run @historicallywomens.c0m on instagram by myself and have been doing so since 2017~ What started as a silly creative outlet has turned into a large gathering place for over 11k students and alums of historically women's colleges to convene and have a laff xx. @historicallywomens.c0m is the largest inter-HWC network on instagram! Some of my regular tasks include posting memes and reviewing submissions, boosting community aid requests every Tuesday, and creating online events so that students at hwcs can interact with each other. Through the Instagram page I've hosted a Pen Pal Chain, a Ghibli movie screening, and a Valentine's Day Personals event, just to name a few. I've also created a Partnered Discord Server directly affiliated with the instagram page and run with the help of 6 amazing volunteer staff members. ​ I take my platform seriously and am committed to using it as a space for important discussions. I do my best to give visibility to student issues and encourage discourse and opportunities to unlearn and regrow. I do not run any ads or accept any sponsorships.
