For the past 4 months I have been without stable housing, crashing with friends and relatives while my partner and I try to get setup in the US so that he can work. Although I have a remote editing job, I'm paid in CDN dollars, which barely covers food + gas. None of these couch surfing situations are permanent, and so I'm running out of time to find a place before things get a lot worse. Right now, we need a minimum $800 USD just to get a room rental.
