Indie games are invariably successful based on how much exposure they have from content creators like myself and my peers. This is why I have spent almost all of my time addressing this genre instead of major titles, although those are fun too. Indie games have smaller communities, but more intimacy and room for innovation. Some indie games change lives just because people like me have presented them to the world. I've personally been pivotal I'm promoting small developers and even university program projects around the world--for free.
