Hello! You have reached the Ko-Fi of Neil Cochrane (also known as C.M. Spivey). I’m a queer author of speculative fiction, and a self-taught artist based in Portland, Oregon. Storytelling is my passion, and my purpose is to use that passion and skill to make story an inclusive and representative space in our society. To that end, I have been honing my craft and my perseverance in the publishing industry since 2012, with two novels and several novellas under my belt and a lot learned along the way.
My current projects are: - I Will Go to the Bank by the Wood, a literary, a trans fairy tale loosely based on Beauty and the Beast, forthcoming from Forest Avenue Press (2022) - Then Come Kiss Me, a queer, trans graphic novel retelling of Twelfth Night, the pitch package of which is currently being assembled and will begin to be queried this year - The Life and Times of Trans People, a trans history book co-written with Lydia Rogue and Orion Rodriguez, forthcoming from Microcosm Press
