The surface is a perfect machine for game development. It is a powerful PC but it can also work as a tablet and has pen support for things like drawing pixel art in a sprite editor. Although I'd love to use an iOS device the fact is they just don't have great support for the tools I am using and familiar with. The surface can run GameMaker Studio and Godot as well as Aseprite and even Emacs, which I still use quite often for code editing.
