We're interested in using basic, non-destructive survey techniques on a reportedly haunted site. Non-destructive means we will not be disturbing the ground, but there's lots of great ways to survey an area without being destructive.
This small goal will allow us to begin the background research into several potential locations in Pennsylvania, including getting permission to be on the premise legally.
About
Paranormal Archaeology is a sub-blog of the Archaeological Fantasies blog and podcast. Here we will be examining more supernatural topics, things that have ties to archaeology but don't necessarily fall into the category of pseudoarchaeology. Here we're going to attempt to examine things like haunted objects and sites through an archaeological lens. Can we learn anything about the supernatural using archaeology?
Topics on this blog will be varied within the genre of the paranormal and the supernatural. This will include but won't be limited to the idea of ghosts, demons, possessed objects, cursed locations, and other popular themes in the paranormal community.
