👋 We’re an independent group of climbers 🧗 Daling & Dave - Local residents since 2020, this powerhouse has put up many routes over the last year. If you have recently climbed down south, you would probably have bumped into them at a crag putting up a classic line. Mike - Local climbing veteran of 18 years. Mike was part of the awesome team that developed Chong Phli. Over the years he has invested many hours putting up routes, replacing old slings and making sure the crags are safe. Mike is super friendly and always keen to help with beta and advice. You’ve probably bumped into him at the crag already. Krabi mainland is becoming a popular destination for climbing in Thailand. Over the last few years, more than 290 routes have been developed at some fantastic crags such as Chong Phli (Spirit Mountain) and North Wall. Unfortunately there are also a growing number of problems. Many routes have slings that need regular replacing, and approximately half of the routes are still equipped with stainless steel lowering rings which are prone to stress corrosion cracking causing them to potentially fail. We have created this fundraiser to ask the climbing community to support us in purchasing titanium bolts and titanium lower-off rings to replace the old slings and rings. Your support is crucial in making our crags a safer place, and any donation, small or large is much appreciated. Any additional funds raised will be used for developing new crags.
