Currently, we are seeking funding for a Black Lives Matter Tokyo live stream music event, zine, gallery, and the next episode of our webinar series. All proceeds will go to making these events happen and available to everyone.
We are the Tokyo Black Lives Matter group! (English below) ブラック・ライブズ・マター 東京は、今アメリカをはじめ、世界に広まっている黒人差別反対運動に賛同しその活動へのサポートの意を示すためにつくられました。この問題をとおし、日本国内でも起きている人種差別問題に光をあて、人種差別の歴史的背景や現状を考えながら、今よりもよりインクルーシブで多様性溢れる社会を実現することを目指しています。 この問題をもっと身近に感じていてだけるようなイベントを企画するブラック・ライブズ・マター 東京のイベントチームは、ボランティアで集まったクリエイターやオーガナイザーの集団です。しかし、これらのイベントを企画するにあたって、それなりの資金が必要となってくることがわかりました。 現在、黒人アーティストをフィーチャーしたオンライン ライブイベント、アートマガジン・ギャラリー展、そして２回目のウェビナーを企画中です。ここで集められた募金は、すべてこれらのイベントを実現するために使われます。 Black Lives Matter TOKYO was created to express solidarity with the Black communities and movements in Japan and abroad. We will strengthen our ties with the Japanese community through anti-racist action, community outreach efforts, and education on black history and the history of racism in order to move towards a more culturally diverse and understanding environment for all. Please donate to help us bring content to inspire, educate, and continue the hopes of this movement alive in Japan.
