Victorian Gothic is a Twitter account & website sharing free educational content on the history of gothic literature in the long 19th century. This includes daily tweets, an open access library, author biographies & an accompanying blog. An additional goal of the project is to produce copies of these texts in various formats to make it accessible to all. All this content is free to use, but not free to create & host! All Victorian Gothic content is free to use, but not free to create & host. Not only does this take a lot of time to build & maintain, but I pay to keep Victorian Gothic online. While I could choose to use a free webservice, these aren’t designed to host libraries & wix offered the most accessible formats (a key goal of the project). It also had the added bonus of tidier URLs & no ads! As a self-funded PhD student carrying out all this work voluntarily in her spare time, any support you can give is greatly appreciated & will go towards expanding this project! I also welcome support by helping with : - Sourcing original copies of texts - Notifying me of gaps in the existing lists - Giving feedback on how to make the site/content more accessible
