War has been unkind to animals, at the zoos in Yemen. For nearly 4 yrs we changed the lives of so many there (All lions out, birds, crocodile, meds, food, water).The biggest challenge is the RARE Arabian Leopards.38 Arabian leopards live in Taiz, and there are less than 200 left, so you can see how vital these cats in Taiz Zoo are to the species. While we still support the lions and all the animals at the zoo it is time for the Leopard to move outdoors.
The animals at the Yemen Zoos are the forgotten victims of the war. We can them survive the war with our care and love. Yemen Zoos are home to the rare Arabian leopards, lions, birds of prey, horses and crocodiles. The Arabian leopards are rarer than the Giant Panda. These are the war's forgotten victims. We have been involved since 2016 with Taiz. Yemen a warzone. It is too dangerous for animal charities outside Yemen to send personnel in. We are partnering up with NGOs to deliver funds to the zoos. They need emergency vitamins and minerals, food and water, veterinary care and supplies and enrichment. Many enclosures are in need of repair in Taiz Zoo with projects we make the animals lives more comfortable and we believe this is what we can do as humans to improve animals, who no fault of their own, are in zoos. We want to relieve and do our bit in easing of the suffering of animals held in the Yemen Zoos.. Welcome to our page! Thank you for coming to visit. The animals in Taiz Zoo really need our help. They are stuck in the middle of a war zone as the country of Yemen is in a state of civil war. We have set up this group to raise funds so that the animals can have everything they need to survive the war and to thrive. Vitamins, minerals, food and water, veterinary care and supplies and enrichment activities are all on the must have list. Nearly two years ago, we set up a fundraiser to help the animals in the zoo in Taiz, Yemen. They are all stuck in the middle of a war zone in an incredibly dangerous country. Thanks to all your incredible support, we raised funds to get the lions, peacocks and crocodile out of the tiny cages they had to live in – and now we are ready to do the same for the stunning, majestic jewel of a big cat, the Arabian Leopard. There are 38 Arabian leopards in Taiz, and there are only about 200 left in the wild, so you can see how vital these cats in Taiz are to the species.
