I'm always on the look out for obscure second hand instruments! If I see stuff very cheap I will usually buy it, but this gives me an avenue to not feel guilty about spending a bit of extra money, or to maybe be willing to pay a bit more for something particularly nice or obscure. It also gives me a responsibility to make the sample instrument, to help keep me motivated to get it done quickly!
