The Accessible Patterns Index is a listing of all the visual accessible knitting, crochet and loom knit patterns that are written for people with a range of visual challenges. The patterns are written in several formats, including braille, large print, screen reader accessible, and color blind accessible. We are working to create a truly accessible index of knitting, crochet, and loom knitting patterns for crafters who are blind or print challenged. Currently the largest collection of these patterns is on Ravelry, which has become unusable for many members of the community. Our aim is to use our ko-fi money to cover hosting on a new index of accessible patterns. We have also created a short course on how to make your own patterns accessible to those who are blind or print challenged.
