I had a problem with my eyes that stopped me driving. Last year I had several operations which restored my eyesight. Unfortunately I have to take the driving test all over again. In France that costs about £800 and while I make enough money for my living expenses I don't have anything left over. It would really help me to be able to drive again so that I could take my art to galleries and fairs.
I'm a painter and print maker living in the quiet beauty of central Brittany in France. I lead a double life as an artist and a writer - between the two I don't have much spare time. I'm also a keen photographer and cyclist and when I'm not in the studio or tapping away on my laptop I'm out on my bike exploring the green lanes and forests of my local area.
