***UPDATE: WE GOT ENOUGH TYSM EVERYONE!!!!!! -- **UPDATE: OK GOOD NEWS So we threatened legal action against her with a public defender. She almost IMMEDIATELY released our rent money. She still refuses to release anything else BUT RENT IS FINE!!!!! It's literally just issues with our insurance right now, which is about $95. But honestly? Whatever, far better than needing rent. -- My mother and I are in a bit of a financial crisis right now due to her caseworker being really gross, ableist, and honestly probably a bit racially motivated. She suddenly cut my mother off of her disability pension despite being on it all her life. Every time we ask for a supervisor at the office, the caseworker hangs up or claims that one doesn't work at their branch. Because of this happening at the end/beginning of the month, we have no rent money, no money for food, insurance payments are gonna bounce, and shit's gonna get messy. Food's whatever. I can eat out of the bin behind the Tim Hortons idc. We also have a local food bank so that's good thank God. But I'd rather not have any risk of being homeless while we figure this out with the office (and hopefully get the caseworker fired too tbh) so honestly anything helps. Basically any help goes towards our rent situation and any insurance payments. Rent first though. The moment we get enough and we're secure again, this ko-fi is gonna be taken down. I refuse to take more than needed. I do take writing commissions but I don't want to be absolutely flooded with them right now.
