RI State Home and School
Founded in 1884 in Providence, Rhode Island, the State Home and School for Dependent and Neglected Children separated youth from adult almshouses and reformatories. Operating until 1979 on a 43-acre farm, it's now part of Rhode Island College, recognized on the National Register of Historic Places.
