I love video games. I love the big ones, the small ones, even the weird ones. As long as they tell an interesting story. Every once in a while I come across a game that really captivates me but which leaves me with the feeling that something is off. It might be something about the fictitious world or the behaviour of its characters that somehow doesn't feel right. Or something strikes me as incredibly brilliant and in need to be cherished. This is when I need to dig deeper, deconstruct what the games' narrative is telling beyond the apparent. Sometimes, these endeavours in narrative archaeology result in an article, where I lay my thoughts bare. Remember, though, that these are just the ruminations of a single person. They are subjective to the core and not without their limits. I write them for myself and I post them solely in the vain hopes that some people might find them enlightening or inspirational.
