I'm an electronic music producer producing music under various monikers: Ebauche, Dronal and Exan. I also run Supple 9, a small record label & music studio in Berlin which offers mixing and mastering services. Finally, I write On a Variety of Topics in my blog, and daily post my photography to Eidetic Opacity!
When I restarted my blogging efforts I thought I'd try the old advertising approach to help fund the hosting costs, but it quickly became clear to me that doing so was absolutely horrible - inflicting thousands and thousands of adverts on visitors all to earn a few cents. The only person winning there is the advertiser. So I felt it made more sense to offer a donation button. Even if one in a thousand visitors drops a small tip, it'll help me with the small goal of covering my costs. Thanks!
