I'm a scifi writer in my 30s, and also an artist. I work a day job 40hrs/wk, and most of my creative free time is devoted to my book series. I studied writing in high school and fine arts/design/art history in college. A little bit of every day is spent enhancing these skills, as well as the daunting task of keeping up with trends!
