Supporting the Alphabet School and skills training for homeless Roma in Italy. The Roma come from Romania to seek work and income, as there is no work in Romania. Roma are also training in traditional restoration methods so they can help preserve cultural sites, including the English Cemetery. Run by Sister Julia, the Custodian of the English Cemetery in Florence. Sister Julia is a former professor of Medieval Studies and has built a library of history, medieval and Italian studies within the English Cemetery's gatehouse. This is where historians and researchers can visit to access the library. This is also where Sister Julia teaches her Roma Alphabet school. In addition, she aids the Roma by helping find them jobs, food, and access to pro bono legal assistance.
