Ayrshire Legends is a video and audio series created and presented by Aidan Lynn exploring the many myths, legends and folktales to be found in the county of Ayrshire in south-west Scotland.
The Scottish county of Ayrshire has a long and expansive history of folklore, myths and folk tales and sadly it’s something that has been pushed to the side or forgotten over time. Ghosts, Witches, Crumbling Castles, Epic Battles, even The Devil himself, you name it we’ve had it at some time or another. The purpose of Ayrshire Legends is to create videos about these myths and tales, visiting some of the actual locations and creating an immersive atmosphere to take the viewer back in time and bring these legends back into people’s minds and try and present an alternative image of Ayrshire as a place filled with rich history and characters.
