Donations will go towards support my health costs for medications that help me but are unavailable on the NHS. They include B12 and magnesium IM injections, Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN), compounded H2 antihistamines and supplements targeted at supporting mitochondria function and MCAS.
I'm a disabled writer/ author and former illustrator/ comics creator (graphic memoir, The Facts of Life). I've been bedridden living in one room for almost six years and struggle with several chronic illnesses: Very Severe M.E., POTS, MCAS, Fibromyalgia and suspected Rheumatoid Disease. I also live with chronic pain and have very few windows when I can draw, so I've been writing poetry and haiku using voice access assistive technology. The work is focused on the natural world and my exile from it, and chronic illness. This mooring of words has kept me buoyed. In the last couple of years, I've struggled to write at all. My beverage of choice is any kind of pretend-coffee-latte (aka fluff latte). Body says no to caffeine and alcohol (ever the cheap date), but will accept a 'coffee' with a silicone straw if someone holds it for me. Thank you for reading!
