I'm a full-time writer from Halifax who lives in Brighton. My work encompasses poetry, fiction, journalism, cultural history, magic and art. I've written books on the 13th Floor Elevators, the Butthole Surfers, and the disastrous 1970 Krumlin Pop Festival, as well as several novels. A regular contributor to the Quietus website and Shindig magazine, and part of the Discordian collective behind Festival 23, I run my own Bleeding Cheek Press publishing imprint and send out a free e-newsletter (The Urban Spaceman). I'm currently working on a 5-volume novel that's a psychedelic odyssey through the 20th Century's magical counterculture. I much prefer tea to coffee, if you're asking.
