I run a blog called BiblioNyan, where I write professional reviews for books, anime, & Asian Cinema. I advocate for & support diversity in literature, specialising in South Asian, Polynesian, LGBTQIA+, and Japanese literatures. I also write about mental health, such as my experiences & ways to cope with mental health, with a segment called Self-Care Sundays. Due to a congenital illness & various mental disabilities, I work full-time on my blog for about 60-72 hours/week.
Hi, friends! If you enjoy what I do and would like to see more diverse content, please consider supporting me. I have congenital heart disease, as well as a mild version of Schizophrenia, Major Anxiety & Depressive disorders, Agoraphobia, ADHD, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Because of this, I'm unable to leave my house most of the time, let alone obtain a traditional job. As such, I have diligently and wholeheartedly devoted myself to the work that I do. It is my life and my career. I write reviews, critiques, and other articles pertaining to literature, especially in regards to raising awareness for marginalised voices within the book communities. I'm an advocate and large supporter of #OwnVoices narratives, specifically Asian literatures. My genre specialities include South Asian, Polynesian, LGBTQIA+, and Japanese Literatures; adult science-fiction and fantasy; comics; and manga. In addition to book content, I work on raising awareness for and promoting Japanese animation, otherwise known as anime, with a focus on cultural representation; as well as Asian cinema (serials and films). Lastly, due to my own vast experience with mental health, I also write content about my struggles with mental health, and how to cope with living with with an array of mental health illnesses from day-to-day. I work on full-time, sometimes with 14 hour-days. Any donations given to BibioNyan will strictly go towards supporting BiblioNyan's blog and with assisting me in paying for medications, which helps me to stay healthy enough to do the work that I'm so passionate about. Once a month, I will give a special shout-out to anyone who has helped support BiblioNyan, with special recommendations to supporters' corresponding workspace. Please, I would greatly appreciate any ounce of support that you can give me. Forever grateful, Neha.
