Kā'eo Mū (Kai)

Hi, friends! If you enjoy what I do and would like to see more content, please consider supporting me. I have congenital heart disease, Major Anxiety & Depressive disorders, ADHD, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Because of this, I'm unable to leave my house most of the time, let alone obtain a traditional job. As such, I have diligently and wholeheartedly devoted myself to the work that I do. It is my life, my career, my passion. I write reviews, critiques, and other culturally centric articles pertaining to literature, especially in regards to raising awareness for marginalised voices within the book communities. I'm an advocate and large supporter of own-voices narratives, specifically Asian and Queer literatures. My genre specialities include South Asian, Polynesian, LGBTQIA+, and Japanese Literatures. Additionally, I write culturally centric reviews for anime and manga. I am a university student who is majoring in Japanese Studies, Creative Writing, & Muslim Studies. My ultimate goal is to become a translator of Japanese literature and an Asianist (Asian historian) that specialises in Islamic and Japanese histories. I like to focus my anime content on the cultural essence of the medium because it's neglected often yet is extremely revelatory of the country's socio-political climate, history, and identity. Lastly, due to my own vast experience in living with mental health conditions, I also create content about managing life with self-care, and how to cope with living with an array of mental health illnesses on a day-to-day basis. Due to the nature of my work, and the variety of the subject matters I discuss on BiblioNyan, my workdays consist of full-time hours ( approximately 10 to 14 hours/day). Any donations given to BiblioNayn will strictly go towards supporting BiblioNyan's blog with upkeep costs, maintaining the technology that helps me create content, and paying for the prescriptions that help keep me alive. Once a month, I will give a special shout-out to anyone who has helped support BiblioNyan, with special recommendations to supporters' corresponding workspace. Please, I would greatly appreciate any ounce of support that you can give me. Forever grateful, Neha.
