Car repairs and medical bills

I hate that I have to do this, but right now I'm struggling to be allowed to return to work and my roommate/friend's car is in DIRE need of repairs. It's our only method of transportation to and from appointments and crucially, our job (we work in the same place). He is able to do the repairs himself but we have no money for the parts. And my own medical bills and other expenses aren't getting any cheaper.
