My old brushes are so old (over 20yrs) and when I dug out my kolinsky sable brushes, I discovered the moths had eaten the bristles. 😕.
My abode is a sprawling, crumbling mansion I share with a menagerie of animals and big & small humans. It is where I have a small art studio and spend most of my time when I'm not crocheting, reading, or hanging out around a fire on the garden. It is in my studio (known as the "clinic" from when house was a bail hostel), with the creaks and clangs of pipes and rushing, gurgling water, (we shan't examine too closely what's in that water, flowing above my head...) I manipulate air dried clay into various forms inspired by my lifelong interest in folklore, nature and magic. I create talismanic art and each piece exerts a gentle influence to dispel negative energy. A piece may also provide a focal point for meditation, give comfort, inspiration, guidance... I believe when I create my Art, spirit is formed and it is spirit that gives the art its purpose.
