I'm a Java developer working on a text adventure/interactive fiction named Yaffaif. The play includes various kinds of transformation, though there's usually a path to avoid this if you wish. The current version is playable up to a point and should give a flavour of where the game is going. I've built the engine from the ground up as I couldn't do what I wanted with the existing engines when I started, and because, for me, it was an interesting programming challenge. The result is a game that can be played with just a mouse, or through auto-completed keyboard commands. The current goal is really to get the engine to the place where I can tell the story I want to tell - story driven development.
