We're welcoming 2 geese and 2 turkeys to our shelter. They currently reside at Arc Animal Sanctuary, but we're creating a 10m2 wooden house for them. It's on a cold, windy mountain, so we need extra protection and ventilation. We've raised 500€ and found a door and window from a zero-waste community. We still need 750€ for wood, materials, the roof, metal foundation, and transportation. Help us make a perfect home for them!
Doggybagcrew is a Belgian non-profit association whose goal is the protection of animals of all species as well as the defence of their rights in Greece. Last year, we started building an animal shelter in Greece, open to all animals! The shelter is located in the prefecture of Fokida, and the land is about 20 acres. 100% of your Ko-fi donations will be given for the construction of the shelter! Α 700m perimeter fence, the central door, and 3 emergency exits have been installed. The next steps are: * To fence a separate part for our first residents, 2 geese and 2 turkeys. * To build them a 10 sq meters wooden house with extra protection/isolation inside and outside, and to create a pond for the geese. * To fix the rural road leading to the shelter, making it accessible on rainy days. * To clean the land of the rocks and the burnt trees. * To design a permaculture plan in order to optimize the land for the residents, human and non-human, who will live there. * To equip the land with water tanks and to create a fire-resistant plan since it was totally burnt 3 years ago.
