FilmDis is a media monitoring & content creation service. You might know us from our annual study on disability representation on TV. It’s the first of its kind, and the only one to not only count disabled characters, but also look at the disability status of the actors playing the characters. Our study also includes race, sexuality, and ethnicity of each disabled character. We’re also content creators! We write screenplays & podcasts, do live streams, & create media. We have multiple TV pilots in the works & ready to go! We also consult on disability and LGBTQIA+ representation in film with both major and independent studios. FilmDis might have started as a humble Twitter chat, but it has grown into something much larger than that, and we couldn’t be prouder of what we are creating.
