Aimee Menard

I started branching my artistic talents into writing about three years ago. I write fantasy romance novels based on the same universe. Some characters will show up in other books, depending on how many years that are apart. I write heavily on LGBTQ+ topics, including lesbian romance, bisexuality, transgender issues, and polyamory. I pepper in enough magic, mysticism, magical races, and humour, to keep the tone light after I post a serious chapter. The books started off as Sims 4 fan fictions, which is why a lot of the original artwork came from the game. Game locations and feature characters' names have been changed to respect EA property rights. My characters have all grown lives on their own. The renamed feature characters have developed their own personalities, and no longer match the ones you'll find in the social simulator. Why break off of into my own world, you may ask? As my characters have developed lives beyond what the game mechanics allow. You can see my characters go to school, to work, they have social interactions you'll never see in the game; I felt I needed to expand the world - and make a more realistic magic system for those characters who can cast spells or use magic. The magic system will look and feel a lot like D&D, as that is my inspiration as a long-term table-top gamer. I've tweaked the magic system a little. There are no more levels, spells slots, or limited use per day for spells. It's based on the amount of mana or essence a person can channel.
