Dunmore is a picturesque conservation village in Falkirk, Scotland. Over 150 years old, Dunmore is unique in the industrial Central belt, with pretty sandstone cottages circling the village green and its Victorian water pump. In recent years Dunmore has mostly been neglected by the local council and it has fallen to residents and supporters to maintain the beauty of its public green space for everyone, including the many people who visit every year. Do you live in or around Dunmore? Have you enjoyed a visit to Dunmore? Please consider donating to our fund for maintaining and improving village green space. Dunmore villagers have stepped up to care for these spaces following Falkirk Council's reduction in support. Led by Dunmore Village Association, this has included: > Fundraising for grass cutting and arborist services > Weeding, planting, litter picking and tidying public spaces > Planting of pollinator-friendly plants on the Village green > Maintaining Lillian's garden - the community garden the Village leases from Falkirk Council. There are a number of projects which require urgent attention: > The removal of a diseased tree in community garden, which will cost over £1000 > Payment for grass cutting services > Restoration of the historic Village well > Cleaning and painting of the equipment in the village green play park You can change the amount you donate above, or even choose to give regularly.
