I sent my first text message in 1998 while working at the paging (yes, paging) company Glenayre Technologies. After several years of working in the technology sector, I became an electrical engineering/technology educator because one of the few things in the world I like more than working and playing with technology is inspiring and mentoring others to do so. I was a student myself and have supported many students over the 15+ years that I've been an educator. I know how hard engineering and engineering technology studies are.
