Elsewhere Cinema Club

Thank you for visiting our Ko-fi page! In Southeast Asia, many films are made independently without the financial backing of production companies or guarantees of commercial distribution. Often, these films tell important stories about women and queer folk living in the region. Elsewhere Cinema Club focuses on these stories and their storytellers. Your contributions will go directly to: ⚡ paying featured filmmakers/speakers for their time and access to their films, ⚡ providing small honorariums for the four co-organizers' time in programming and organising screenings and Q&As, ⚡ Annual costs for our domain name and SSL certificates, ⚡ PayPal conversion and transaction fees. Note: Contributions made via our Ko-fi page are one-off. Even though the recommended amount is USD 3, there is no minimum for contributing. We appreciate any amount you choose to give. For alternative modes of contribution, please drop us an email at elsewherecinemaclub [at] gmail.com. Thanks & Acknowledgements: The first three filmmakers featured at Elsewhere Cinema Club were not compensated for their time or access to their films. We would like to thank SUNDAY BEAUTY QUEEN's Baby Ruth Villarama from the Philippines, THREE STRANGERS's Lamin Oo from Myanmar, and DEMI UCOK's Sammaria Sari Simanjuntak from Indonesia for their goodwill, time, and trust in us. To find out more about their films, check out excerpts of our conversations with them on our website. Thank you, 👋 Erika, Griselda, Kei, & Phoebe elsewherecinemaclub.com
