Able-bodied people can usually access a beach or walk across Bodmin Moor or the coast paths with minimal planning. Enable Accessibility CIC’s passion is helping people with disabilities access the same areas and enjoy the same feeling of freedom as an able-bodied person. We want to help businesses understand their responsibilities under The Equality Act 2010 when it comes to people with hidden disabilities and visual. These persons could include, amongst others: Wheelchair users, those who find it difficult to walk across rough terrain and swim but do not usually use wheelchairs, e.g. someone with Hereditary Spastic Paraparesis or a person with lower limb prosthetics, People who have not long come out of the hospital and need help to access these areas, and Long Covid.
