Making the leap to a fully staged, licensed production requires substantial funding to cover costs of production, theatre, actors, musicians, directors, sizzle reel, promotions, and more! For the Record(s) captures the heartfelt dynamics and daunting challenges experienced by those who have been "touched by adoption." The inspiration for the show arises from decades of volunteer support and advocacy and a gift of song titles while sitting in a hot tub during the pandemic. Rich Uhrlaub, MEd was born, relinquished, adopted and raised in Denver, Colorado. He started learning piano at age five, and is a contributing author of Finding Our Place: 100 Memorable Adoptees, Fostered Persons and Orphanage Alumni (ABC-CLIO). He is a longtime member of Denver's Lighthouse Writers Workshop, an alum of the NMI musical writers' core curriculum, and a top two finalist in the Musical Writers, Inc. pitch contest.
