I love being an indie designer but what holds me back are the many costs involved e.g paying a tech editor. It's high risk, especially when you don't know if anyone will even purchase the pattern at the end! I want my patterns to be inclusive in sizing as well as accessibility, but that costs extra.
I pride myself on well written , professional patterns. With your support I can publish patterns complete with generous sizing and descriptive videos.
I own a small business where I make and sell craft supplies as well as handmade items. I also design knitting and crochet patterns and dedicate a monthly feature on my blog to support and promote knitwear and crochet designers who saw a decline in their visibility after Ravelry failed to rectify their serious accessibility issues.
