At the moment the cdn.hobune.stream server only has 3TB of storage. I'd like to upgrade it to a 20TB HDD so that more content can be uploaded and shared publicly.
I do internet archival, host the hobune.stream site, and work on various archival-related free and open-source tools. At the moment it costs me about $80 a month to host hobune.stream and its various servers (cdn.hobune.stream, koobas.hobune.stream). I'm not sure how much my local archive costs to run, but I assume it's somewhere between $20-50 a month in electricity. I often buy more drives to increase the capacity of the archive, which is where most of the money goes. At the moment it costs me about $720 per 20TB, as I need to buy double the drives to also keep a backup server running. All money donated will be put directly towards the operation of the archive, I will not be keeping or using any of the money for personal reasons. I host archived content made by other people and it would be wrong for me to profit off of that.
