I am a Minnesota-based composer of new music. What does that mean? Well, it can mean a lot of different things. I write music for choirs, I write music for orchestras, I write music for solo performers and small group ensembles. I dabble in other styles of music. I even experiment with modular synthesizers and code-generated music (yes, as in, writing code to produce music). Ultimately, I am most interested in music that connects. Connects interrelated ideas, concepts, phrases, voices, and styles through history, time, or space. Connects to form narrative, interplay, or juxtaposition. What are you interested in connecting?
